  Hospital Manager

Christy Lowe

As the daughter of a veterinarian, Christy Lowe literally grew up in the field of veterinary medicine. At the age of 14, she began working for her father, Dr. Edwin Lowe, as a kennel assistant at High Desert Animal Hospital. She attended college at Brigham Young University for 2 years then accepted a position with the Animal Hospital in Ogden, UT where she was on staff for 7 years including 3 ½ years as Practice Manager.

In 2001, Christy returned to Yucca Valley as Practice Manager for High Desert Animal Hospital. Her success as a manager is due in part, to her knowledge of veterinary medicine, best business practices, and a desire to support and motivate her team to the highest standard of excellence.

She has owned and loved Pembroke Welsh Corgis for many years. She shares her home with Alyx, a 12 year old female, Wesley, a 2-year old male and baby Brie, who is 1 ½. A special interest in canine behavior has led Christy to begin agility training with Brie.

When not working she loves to travel, read and spend time with her family.
